Elizabeth Bauman has been weaving narratives for different media throughout her career—writing and photographing stories for newspapers, writing radio scripts, researching and writing pieces for magazines, writing and editing books, and telling stories through visual displays. Katrina is the first story she has written for the stage, marrying her varied media background to her love of musical theater. Hurricane Katrina was the perfect subject for Elizabeth to apply her researching skills and media savvy to create a show based on actual print and broadcast news reports but featuring fictional characters.
